Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) has appointed Sihle Ngcamu as the Chief Executive Officer. Ngcamu has been acting CEO since Neville Matjie left the role in September last year.

Trade & Investment KZN Interim Board Chairperson, Khanyisani Shandu, said Ngcamu’s leadership acumen would steer the organisation towards fulfilling its mandate of facilitating trade and promoting the province as the investment destination of choice.

“The board is confident that with Mr Ngcamu at the helm, Trade & Investment KZN is destined to further entrench itself as a key strategic partner in bringing economic opportunities to the province”, said Shandu.

Ngcamu joined TIKZN in 2016 as the Executive Manager for Investment Promotion, where he played an instrumental role in destination marketing, investment attraction and facilitation, as well as business retention and expansion.

With a robust skill set that includes business strategy, negotiations, project management, strategic planning, change management and more, Ngcamu has held significant roles in both the private and public sectors.

During his extensive career spanning more than three decades, he has been Executive Manager of Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone, HSEQ Management Specialist at BHP Billiton and Regional Manager of the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs.

He holds a Masters in Law from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Masters of Arts in Environmental Management from the University of Zululand, among other qualifications.
