Thobani Nzuza, renowned for his multiple talents as an actor, director and playwright, has published his second book titled ‘Shintsha Guluva’.

Nzuza, best known for his appearances in television shows like eHostela, Uzalo, Isitha: The Enemy and Isipho, is now expanding his skill set with the publication of his second book.

Nzuza has revealed that he wrote this book back in 2014, while still attending university.

“I have decided to publish a second theatre play, I wrote while I was in Varsity 2014,” he said.

In an appreciation Instagram post, the 31-year-old expressed his gratitude to Sphephelo Dlamini for his assistance in bringing this theatre play to publication.

“Thanks to @sphephelo_afezeka for all the assistance in publishing this one! Salute ndabuko!” Nzuza said.

The decision to publish “Shintsha Guluva” was driven by a moment of recognition, as the multi-talented actor revealed that an email from a professor at Wits University highlighted the play’s remarkable potential.

“Professor Ravengai from Wit University wrote me an email early this year:

“Last year I supervised two 4th year students doing a directing project from your play which I found interesting. At the time, I thought it was published but now I know that it is still in draft form. I would like to expose my first years to your work as, during this first semester they do non-realist/presentational theatre.”

This book follows the success of his first book, “Boy Ntulikazi”, which was published in 2018. “Boy Ntulikazi” delved into the profound impact of personal challenges on shaping one’s perspective on the world.
