Nigerian musician Burna Boy had an interesting festive season in Lagos. From partying with American singer Chloe Bailey to showing off his luxury, he had a great time.

In a video that has been circulating on social media, Burna, as he is affectionately known, showed off his mansion. At the entry is a waiting area for visitors and, as he continued with the tour, he showed his favourite room.

It is the Cubano, where he draws his inspiration to write. It has special collections like old records and vinyl’s of his favourite musicians, including Bob Marley and Fela Kuti.

It also has family portraits of his parents, grandmother and his childhood pictures. The living room downstairs comprises a pool area view and a bar.

There are two bedrooms downstairs which belong to his sisters, one of them is an artist and painted all the paintings in his house.

Upstairs is another living room with his awards, plaques and a minibar. There is also a cinema, where no shoes are allowed.

Inside the cinema are covers of his favourite movies, including “Boys in the Hood”. There is also a studio, where he makes music and then outside (upstairs) is a prayer corner by the garden, where he prays every morning.

Downstairs is another garden and a pool area.

Seeing how people responded to his video, Burna took to Instagram stories to give haters a piece of his mind.

“They can never match up to me so they try everything to level the playing field, they’ve called me everything but a child of God all because I’m the greatest ever! Against all odds, my president is Black and my passport is green.”

Seeing the last line, fans concluded that he was throwing jabs at Davido, whom he hasn’t had a good relationship with although they are in the same industry.

It is reported that their beef started in 2019 when Burna Boy lost a Grammy Award to Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo. A few months later, he responded to someone who tweeted how Davido and Wizkid paved the way for the self-proclaimed “African Giant”.

That didn’t sit well with Burna, who mentioned how fellow musicians didn’t care about him. Since then, he and David have been low-key making snide comments about one another either on songs or on social media.

The most recent one was on December 30, when Burna wrote: “If you ever lied about buying Sujimoto’s house in Banana when you only rented it, do better in 2025.”

Fans concluded that the comment was directed to Davido, who bought a mansion from Sujimoto, a prominent residential developer in Nigeria. To squash the rumours, Sujimoto confirmed that Davido bought from them and was not renting.
