Recently, a 4-part documentary screened on Channel O, detailing the history and impact of the festival, the role it played in elevating Motswako music and its artists.
Maftown Heights Untold Stories, which premiered last month with the final episode airing this past Saturday, captivated the audience as they were reminded of the good old days of the South African hip-hop culture.
Following the overwhelming success of the documentary screening, the renowned Maftown Heights Festival has announced its return with a special “Reunion” edition this November.
The “Reunion” edition promises to be a spectacular celebration, featuring an incredible line-up of Motswako legends and rising stars.
Motswako lovers can look forward to unforgettable performances, electrifying collaborations, and special tributes that honour the festival's history and its contribution to South African music and culture.
