South African comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout is taking viewers on a journey to explore the bizarre and fascinating corners of the working world in his latest docuseries, “The World’s Strangest Jobs”.

Premièring on Amazon Prime Video, the show sees Bezuidenhout travelling across the globe to uncover some truly unique professions, from pet detectives in New York to rental boyfriends in Tokyo.

Announcing the series on November 24, Bezuidenhout described it as the “perfect Sunday watch” for those curious about unusual career paths.

But the comedian didn’t stop there, he also hinted that the show reflects some personal changes in his life.

Recently, he revealed on social media that he and his wife, Mica McKechnie, have decided to part ways after less than two years of marriage.

“A lot has happened since the show,” Bezuidenhout shared. “You’ll see there are a lot of references to things like my wife — awkward — but it’s a really fantastic show that we’re all proud of.”

The docuseries is produced by Mannequin Pictures, led by Delon Bakker and Kyle Ambrose.

Bakker said: “We’re ecstatic that Prime Video has picked up this original show that gives audiences a front-row seat to careers no one could imagine.”

Mannequin Pictures, known for hits like “London Calling,” has once again pushed boundaries with this offbeat and entertaining production.

Bezuidenhout’s humour and engaging storytelling promise to make “The World’s Strangest Jobs” a must-watch for fans of comedy and discovery.
