The long-awaited fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson is set to break new ground as Netflix's first-ever live-streamed boxing event.

The showdown, scheduled for November 15, will take place at the iconic AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The event is expected to reach a massive global audience through Netflix, which boasts over 260 million subscribers worldwide.

The fight was initially scheduled for July but was postponed after Tyson, 58, experienced a medical scare involving an ulcer flare-up.

With the new November date, fans are gearing up for what promises to be an unforgettable battle of generations.

At the time, Tyson said: “My body is in better shape than it has been since the 1990s, and I will be back to full training soon.” This fight will be Tyson’s first professional match in nearly 20 years.

Known for his controversial rise in boxing, Paul has steadily built his credibility with a record of 9-1. Having started in influencer boxing, he has since transitioned into more professional bouts.

Reflecting on the journey leading up to this monumental match, Paul said in an interview with The Standard: “It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard.

“Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.”

Despite retiring, Tyson remains one of the most feared and respected figures in boxing. Known as the Baddest Man on the Planet, Tyson has praised Paul’s growth as a fighter.

This event also marks a significant milestone for Netflix as it steps into the world of live sports streaming for the first time.

With the global reach of the platform, this fight is expected to draw one of the largest boxing audiences in recent history.

However, fans are concerned for Tyson.

@PatrickRockwell24 commented: “I honestly think Mike shouldn't have accepted this fight. Father time is UNDEFEATED and Mike is decades past his prime. Why give a bozo like Jake the satisfaction of possibly winning?

“We all know if Jake wins he's going to act like he's in 1987.”

@Nara.Shikamaru commented: “Any young man picking on old fighters to make himself feel stronger is lower than dirt. He has no respect for the people that paved the way for his ass.”

@Marcus-sp9uz also wrote: “Why would Mike Tyson wants to ruin his reputation and legacy fighting this clown. Someone stop this before he ruins his legacy. This is not good.”
