London - Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have agreed to host the Golden Globe Awards for the next two years.

The comediennes have inked deals to present the star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles in 2014 and 2015, after winning rave reviews when they hosted the prestigious event for the first time in January.

In a statement on Tuesday (15.10.13), Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Theo Kingman said: "It's wonderful news. They have always been our first choice as hosts and we're delighted they are back for the next two years."

The former 'Saturday Night Live' stars were forced to apologise to Taylor Swift following this year's ceremony after Tina, 43, upset the country singer, renowned for dating a string of Hollywood stars, by warning her to "stay away from Michael J. Fox's son" and advised her to take "some me time".

The 23-year-old singer admitted she wasn't impressed with the jokes at her expense and said: "There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women."

Amy, 42, later apologised, saying : "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."

While the duo clearly enjoy hosting the Golden Globes, Tina previously revealed she had no desire to ever host the Oscars.

Earlier this year, she said: "I just feel like that gig is so hard. Especially for, like, a woman - the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone . . . No way."

The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live Sunday, January 12, 2014 on NBC. - Bang Showbiz
