On the recent episode of Crown Chasers a reality TV show documenting the road to the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant, Nolene Spinks journey to become Miss South Africa 2024 came to an end as she was the recent contestant to be eliminated.

On the episode four of Crown Chasers, we stepped into the world of fashion and flair with the clothing brand, Forever New.

For the first challenge the contestants had to work in teams of two and create three looks and dress mannequins. The theme of the challenge was to make the crown chasers empower themselves through fashion as businesswomen.

The winners of the first challenge were Soweto’s Nompumelelo Maduna and Emalahleni’s Kebalepile Ramafoko who won themselves a handbag each from Forever New.

For the second challenge, the contestants had to design a twelve look collection of different designs in groups of two with the help of Forever New graphic designers.

They presented their looks to Jessica Wild who is a product manager for Forever New SA.

The winners for the second challenge were Oudtshoorn’s Mia Le Roux and Kirsten Khan who also won themselves a handbag each from Forever New.

The guest judge for episode 4 was Londeka Buthelezi-Ndaba who is a founder of Malondie, a South African multi-award winning fashion brand.

Gqebereha’s Nolene Spinks made it to Top 14 and recently got eliminated from the pageant. The singer shared with us what she is learned while being on the competition, how her journey was and some of the things she learned:

“My journey on Miss SA was not at all what I expected. Not being from the pageant world, I had some preconceived ideas of what pageants are and the modelling world. And honestly this was not the same at all, this was better. I feel the healthiest that I have ever been, mentally, physically and everything,” she said.

She also said that her sessions with Yvonne Johnston, who is a life coach and specialises in self-mastery coaching, helped her with her struggle of rejection. Those sessions were valuable for her because she managed to understand the concept of it and learned more about it.

She further shared that she will miss the challenges, the adrenaline , the fast paced learning as well as the other contestants.
