From Thursday April 26th till Sunday 29th Camissa Solutions together with the Cederberg Municipality, will celebrate the heritage of area with the 4th annual Oh Dam Cederberg Music Festival at the Clanwilliam Dam.

One of the ten oldest towns in South Africa, Clanwilliam in the Cederberg is rich not only in settler history, but it is one of the areas that was inhabited by Africa’s first people –the San and the Khoi who inhabited the Cederberg from early times, leaving a rich legacy of rock art.

Southern African rock art has been dated to be as old as 28 000 years, with the age of the Cederberg paintings ranging from 8 000 years to 100 or 200 years.

After Rooibos tea, which is the most significant contributor to the regional economy, tourism is the second biggest money spinner mostly due to the Clanwilliam Dam. Its central location offers a variety of attractions to satisfy nature-lovers, adventurers, flower-viewers, water sports enthusiasts and anglers alike.

In 2004 the Cederberg wilderness received World Heritage Site status as part of the Cape Floristic Region.

Similar to the very popular Jazz on the Rocks Festival in Tietiesbaai and now in Mossel Bay, which sell out within hours of its launch, Oh Dam Music Festival is also a camping event.

The gates to the venue open at 14h00 on Thursday.

The programme is as follows:
