Multi-platinum-selling American singer and songwriter Kip Moore will perform in Pretoria on Saturday, October 19, as part of his Nomad World Tour.

The “Hey Pretty Girl” hitmaker is one of America’s biggest country artists, who fuses grudge-tinged rock n’ roll into his music.

His latest hit “Live Here to Work” has been a resounding success since it was released last month.

Meanwhile, local artists such as Posduif, Martin Bester, Ray Dylan and Darius Rucker will be the supporting acts before Moore takes to the stage at 8.30pm.

The renowned musician broke into the industry in 2012 and has since released five critically acclaimed albums and has written over a dozen chart-topping singles, including “Something”, “Bout a Truck”, “Beer Money” and ”'More Girls Like You”.

With over 1 billion streams and 2.5 million monthly listeners, he’s performed sold-out headline shows in stadiums around the world including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, and the US, among others, leading to a nomination for CMA’s International Artist Achievement Award.

Following his Gauteng show, he will also perform at the Cape Town Country Festival at DHL Stadium on October 26. He performed in South Africa last year where he entertained a crowd of over 40,000 fans. His 2024 tour has also taken him around the US as well as to Australia.

Soweto Summer Picnic with Makhadzi

Award-winning musician Makhadzi (real name Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona) will headline an electrifying event in Soweto on Saturday, October 19.

The event promises to be a fun-filled day in the spring sunshine.

Anything Colourful is the theme for the occasion and there will be plenty of outdoor fun to be had.

“We will also be joined by other artists to a day filled with great performances, activities and music entertainment,” a statement read.

The Limpopo-born musician is acclaimed for her unique musical style and powerful stage presence.

In July, she won the BET Viewers Choice: Best International Act award. Meanwhile, her hit songs, such as “Sugar Sugar”, “Ma Yellowbone” and “Ghanama” continue to earn her widespread acclaim.

Vusi Nova (real name Vusimuzi Nongxa) will also be taking advantage of the warm weather with a live performance at the outdoor venue.

“Join us for a day filled with incredible music from talented artists such as Vusi Nova,” a statement read.

“Get ready to groove to their beats and enjoy a memorable experience at the JHB Zoo.”

The “Ndikuthandile” hitmaker relocated from Gqeberha, to Joburg in 1998 at the age of 14 to pursue his music career.

He released his first album Ndimfumene in 2009 and in 2013, released “Walk Into Light”, which features Moneoa, Veezo, RJ Benjamin and Ishmael.

In December 2014, Nova dropped “Did It For Love” and the album was nominated for Best RnB/Soul/Reggae Album at the the 21st South African Music Awards (Samas).

Some of his other accolades include his 2016 single "Thandiwe" which peaked at No 1 on the local charts and was one of Most Shazamed songs in Lesotho.

The next year, his third studio album “Naninina” won Best Afro Album at the 2017 South African Afro Music Awards as well as the Best African Pop Album, Best Styled Artist/Group and Best Produced Album at the 2017 Metro FM Awards.

Then in August 2018, his fourth album “Mayan-Nyan” was released and was certified gold.

His City of Gold show promises to be an enjoyable occasion.

Diwali market at Time Square

Get ready for The Festival of Lights at Time Square’s first Diwali market.

This event promises to be an enjoyable day out for family and friends ahead of Diwali, which will be celebrated on October 31.

The market starts at 11am and will run until 6pm.

“Enjoy a variety of Diwali-focused authentic vendors offering traditional Indian sweets, savoury delights, stunning jewellery, authentic Indian attire, beautiful candle lanterns and decorative items,” a statement read.

“For those who might not be familiar with Diwali, this is an opportunity for you to dive into the rich cultural experience and the most important Hindu festival of the year, which symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance".
