South African top comedian and actress Tumi Morake this September will be part of Intaka Productions’ South Africa’s Best Comedy Experience.

In celebration of South Africa’s rich cultural heritage and democratic progress, South Africa’s Best Comedy Experience is bringing together top comedians Skhumba, Felix Hlophe, Simphiwe Shembe, and Mashabela, along with the dynamic MC Simphiwe Majozi, to deliver a night of laughter and entertainment.

The spectacular comedy show will occur on September 22, 2024, at the Joburg Theatre.

Morake looks forward to connecting with audiences she hasn't connected with.

“I have not been as active on the comedy scene as I would like to, so it is always a treat to connect with the people I haven’t seen in ages,” she tells IOL.

“It is also special to share a stage with seasoned comics and fresh new acts that are likely to be the next generation of household names.”

Morake assures her fans that they can expect the “same old naughty Tumi and a good time”.

This year has been a busy and good year for the multi-talented personality. She’s appeared on international formats such as “LOL: Last One Laughing: South Africa” and local favourites such as “The Showmax Roast of Minnie Dlamini”.

“It has all been a fun juggling act. I am always grateful for an opportunity to collaborate with artists I know and respect.”

Morake’s fans have been seeing her on “Ha Molefi" on Mzansi Magic, “The Honeymoon”, which she stars in, is still streaming on Amazon Prime, and “Seriously Single”, which is currently on Netflix.

“I have just finished filming on an Indie project and will be filming another one soon. So in 2025, they (fans) can look forward to me inviting them to support more of my work.”
