Tyla concert tickets go on sale this Thursday and her excited local Tygers are already excited to get their hands on them.

The 22-year-old “Water” hitmaker, who has been performing around the world, is having two concerts in South Africa in December.

The Grammy Award-winner will be performing in Cape Town at Grandwest’s Grand Arena on December 5, and in Pretoria at the SunBet Arena on December 7.

December is going to be an action-packed month for music lovers because not only is Tyla coming home, but international R&B star Chris Brown will be performing in Joburg a week later.

Due to the high demand for tickets to his “Breezy in South Africa” concert organisers decided to add an extra date to his SA tour.

Will South Africans give Tyla the same love they are giving Brown and flock to Ticketmaster to get their hands on tickets to her concert as they did for Brown’s?

From the responses on X, it appears South Africans are indeed keen to attend her shows.

@mpumelelopn doesn’t want to miss out and says: “I just set a reminder for Tyla tickets. I don’t want any problems!”

Others are encouraging South Africans to buy tickets.

“Everyone who bought Chris Brown tickets better buy Tyla tickets too. Keep the same energy,” said @kmm__27.

In a statement released by Tyla, she said: “I’ve been travelling the world, experiencing so much along the way. It's been a journey, but now I'm finally coming home.”

“I’m beyond excited to perform for my TYGERS and share this moment with all of you.”

Tickets for Tyla’s concerts go on sale on Thursday on Ticketmaster. Tickets are priced between R500 and R950 for both shows.
