IOL Lifestyle and The New Girl Code is giving away 10 copies of this inspirational new book.
How do you ‘future-proof’ your child in a world where experts estimate that 65-percent of kids in the next generation will have jobs that are not even created yet?
When Dutch serial technology entrepreneur and angel investor, Janneke Niessen, became aware of this, it inspired her to create Project Prep, a light-hearted novel highlighting the wonders of working in tech, aimed at girls and young women aged nine to 15 in the Netherlands, the UK and Sweden.
The South African version of the book, The New Girl Code, tells the story of 15-year old Capetonian, Tumi Letsatsi who stumbles across the magic of coding and creates a fashion app which goes viral and rockets her and her friends to fame.
This is a non-profit initiative and proceeds from book sales will be used to make the book available for free to underprivileged girls who don’t have access to books.
