IOL Lifestyle is giving away 6 double tickets to see Tresor and Majozi at the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts on 18 November.
The two artists have collaborated on the song, The Woods, and will be performing it live, at Kirstenbosch for the first time.
TRESOR shared that the song was inspired by youthful love and wanting to give assurance in the middle of total confusion.
Born in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, singer-songwriter TRESOR took a leap of faith and moved to Durban in 2007 to pursue a professional career in music.
His Afropolitan sound has led him to collect multiple awards and nominees. This year, he was awarded the SAMA for Best Pop Album following the release of his second offering, The Beautiful Madness in 2017.
Indie-folk singer and songwriter MAJOZI’s music career has also been going from strength to strength since his rise to fame in 2015. He released his debut indie pop album, Fire, which was nominated at the South African Music Awards (SAMA) for Best Adult Contemporary Album in 2017.
MAJOZI recently launched his self-titled sophomore album. Putting fear aside and pushing himself creatively, MAJOZI’s new record is a pop-soul offering into which he poured his heart and emotions.
“I chose to self-title the album because I don’t think people know exactly who I am; not only as an artist but mostly as a person. This album will hopefully give them a better idea of who I am.”
This year’s thrilling line-up boasts a much more diverse range of performers than in previous years. Enjoy the musical journey with family and friends as Sunday’s in Cape Town take on a new feel.
The tickets for this concert will cost R150 for youth between the ages of 6 - 21 years, R190 for adults and children under 6 enter for free.
