Whitley, England - Land Rover's Freelander 2 will now be available for the first time in a premium HSE Luxury specification - just like its upmarket Discovery and Range Rover siblings.
Exterior features include body-coloured sills, door handles and mirror caps and bright metallic finish on the grille and vents, as well as a metal ingot style HSE Luxury badge on the rear and 19” Sparkle Silver rims.
Inside, there are power-adjustable seats - eight ways for the driver and six for the front passenger, trimmed in Windsor leather, and gloss black lacquer finish on the door pulls, steering wheel and interior trims.
XS SPECIFICATION
The second new trim level for Freelander introduces a dark metallic finish for the grille and side vents, front foglights, body-coloured sills, door handles and mirror
New power-adjustable seats - six ways for the driver and four for the front passenger - now have front and rear armrests and power lumbar support for the driver. They're trimmed in a mix of leather and Dinamica in either back and grey or cream and brown.
If you order full leather upholstery, the door panels are trimmed to match.
UPGRADE PACK
The optional upgrade pack for the XS derivative adds a 380W Meridian audio system with 11 speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation system, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, automatic headlights, automatic climate control and illuminated vanity mirrors.
DYNAMIC EXTERIOR PACK
This option adds even more sporty flair to the XS and HSE Luxury models, with a roof spoiler, bright tailpipe trims and gloss black grille, side vents, and bonnet and tailgate badges, along with 19” gloss black 10-spoked alloy rims.
Inside, a two-tone Dynamic leather seat option is available with six-way power adjustment for the driver and four for the front passenger, with either a silver or black matrix finisher.
No decisions have yet been made as to which of these trim options will be made available in South Africa, or when; as soon as Jaguar Land Rover SA make up their minds, we'll let you know.
