Land Rover has released a complete documentary of the new Range Rover Sport's fastest recorded crossing of the Empty Quarter desert.
The six-minute video follows the 849km journey from Wadi Adda Wasir in Saudi Arabia to the border of the United Arab Emirates, which took 10 hours and 22 minutes at an average speed of 81.87 km/h, with spectacular footage from inside and outside the car of sand-storms, immense heat and punishing jumps, epic shots of the largest sand desert in the world - and even rogue camels appearing from nowhere.

Behind-the-scenes footage shows the man behind the drive - 47 year-old Spanish off-road racer Moi Torrallardona, who said later: "The Empty Quarter was an incredible challenge and one that will live with me for the rest of my life."
The Empty Quarter dash was the second challenge that the new Ragie has tackled, following up on a record hill-climb for a production SUV at Pikes Peak on June.
