New Braunfels, Texas – Unlike most exotic sports cars used by police in Italy and the Middle East as PR celebrity cars, this one actually has a history. In fact, in cop slang, in has a rap sheet.
The Chev Corvette you see here was seized from a drug dealer by the New Braunfels Police Department in 2015, and has been in custody ever since, wearing a black and white police car wrap, with a new name and a new job.
Now known as Coptimus Prime, the recycled ‘Vette is used by NFPD as an attention-getter at high school visits and community events, but will eventually be auctioned off – when it’s done its time.
