Renowned Tshwane artists will gather this Saturday at Dusk Resort in Makaunyane to celebrate the birthday of popular dancer, Tsekeleke, real name Mixon Tholo.
The social media sensation will be celebrating his 40th birthday in style with scores of artists, including Dr Malinga, Solly Moholo and Skomota.
Tholo, who has a new found fame through social media, has been facing difficult times, but artists have came out to aid him.
Organiser of the event Rapule Phiri said that he is excited that Tsekeleke will be celebrated and that his life is changing. "We want to show our love and we want people to come and celebrate him as he reaches a milestone in his life," he said.
Phiri, who is also a musician, said families can attend the event. He said they have more than 30 artists confirmed to perform on the day. "It's going to full day and night event and everyone is welcomed to attend. We will also be cutting cake for him on stage," he said.
Tsekeleke said that he is over the moon about the party and the love and support he has been getting from people. "My life has changed for the better, and I appreciate all the support I have been getting from people. I used to starve, but recently people everyday keep coming to me to support me and it means a lot to me," he said.
Doors open at midday and Phiri said that 80% of the tickets for the show have been sold, and it will be a good way to celebrate the barcadi dancer.
Phiri said that on the day they will be showcasing Tshwane talent from different genres and they have invited all the influencers, dancers and personalities to come celebrate the life of Tsekeleke. "The event will also be good Makaunyane people to meet some of their favourite personalities,“ he aded.
