South African bodybuilder Sibusiso Kotelo has been invited to the United Arab Emirates to compete at the Dubai Pro this weekend.

Kotelo is an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) Professional League professional; an elite personal trainer; fitness model, actor and the first Black South African bodybuilder to be awarded a pro card.

Known in the South African bodybuilding industry as “The Kid Prodigy”, Kotelo is a multi-titled champion who has secured an invite to compete at the Mr Olympia Qualifier; which will see him showcase his bodybuilding against other professionals from around the world in Dubai.

Competing on an international stage, Kotelo will be presenting his “conditioning, muscularity, symmetry, posing and more” in qualifying rounds in front of renowned judges and peers at one of the most highly-ranked competitive bodybuilding shows of the year, in the world.

‘Thrilled’

Sharing his excitement on being in the UAE for the Dubai Pro, Kotelo said: “I’m thrilled to be here in the UAE for the Dubai Pro amongst some of the best in the world. Joining the likes of Nathan De Asha, William Bonac and others, the Dubai Pro has a very high caliber of bodybuilders competing from Friday – I’ll be on stage on Saturday.

“I’ve spent the past couple of days here training and getting acclimatised to ensure my performance is at its best - as Chairperson of IFBB Pro League, Tyler Manion; and Mr Olympia head judge, Steve Weinberger will be present.”

Health, fitness, sports and particularly bodybuilding enthusiasts can look forward to a top stage presentation from Kotelo as he represents South Africa.
