Orlando Pirates fans have reacted with pride and joy following the Buccaneer's 2-0 victory against La Liga side Sevilla in a pre-season friendly in Spain.

Goals from Miguel Timm and Kabelo Dlamini ensured that Jose Riveiro and his charges claimed their first pre-season win after they had managed a draw against second-tier English side Plymouth Argyle last week.

In an interview with Thomas Mlambo on SuperSport during half time Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro emphasised that his players needed to accumulate minutes ahead of the new season.

“We are in a period where we need to accumulate minutes in many of our players, we’re going to play again in the next two days so we’re going to share the minutes,” Riveiro said.

“That playing out from the back🔥🔥once we get the first goal against these PSL clubs it's over for them. Even Sevilla don't know what hit them. I've never seen my club play out from the back so smoothly. An improvement that these haters don't notice”
