Angolan international Miguel Gilberto has revealed that he struggled to adjust to life at Orlando Pirates after being loaned back to his old club Petro de Luanda for the rest of the season.
After impressing at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Ivory Coast last year, Gilberto was signed by the Buccaneers to bolster their quest for Betway Premiership glory.
However, during his short stint at the club, the 23-year-old struggled to secure game time and failed to make an impact in his limited appearances.

During his time with the Buccaneers, Gilberto made a total of 12 appearances but failed to score a goal or register an assist.
Struggling to replicate the form that saw him become one of the best players in Africa, the Soweto giants subsequently loaned him back to his hometown club, Petro de Luanda, pending the successful completion of a medical.
Speaking to the Angolan media Gilberto said he struggled to adjust to life at Pirates, adding that he would have loved to get more game time at the club.
“It was very difficult for me to adapt and adjust to the team. I wanted to play more to show my level," Gilberto said.
“I promise to work hard here at Petro so that we can win titles together."
Petro de Luanda currently top the Girabola league table with 33 points from 13 matches and are seeking to accumulate more points to secure the title. Gilberto's experience, pace, and skill could prove crucial in their championship bid.
