British musician Myles Smith is thrilled to embark on his first tour of South Africa later this month.

The “My Home” hitmaker is set to perform at the Grand Arena, GrandWest, in Cape Town, on August 22, and at Marks Park, in Johannesburg, on August 24.

As fans look forward to experiencing his heartfelt performances live for the first time on South African soil, he said that it has always been a dream of his to visit the country.

“I am so excited to bring the music to Cape Town and Johannesburg,” Smith said in a statement.

“I’m ready to give you a show you’ll never forget! Let’s make some unforgettable memories together.”

During his Joburg performance, the London-born singer and songwriter will be joined on stage by a stellar local line-up of local acts, which include Jeremy Loops, Mi Casa, Craig Lucas and Prime Circle.

More musicians are yet to be confirmed for his City of Gold concert and supporting acts for the Mother City leg of his tour are expected to be announced soon.

Smith, who draws from a diverse array of artists such as Green Day, Ben Howard and Labrinth, has earned widespread international acclaim over the past few years.

His latest single, “Stargazing”, spends its eighth week in the Top 10 of the UK Singles chart this week and is currently in the Top 5 charts in Belgium and Ireland.

The single is in the Top 10 in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and South Africa as well as in the Top 20 in Australia, Canada, Sweden, New Zealand and Norway.

He was recently a supporting act for fellow English singer and songwriter Tom Odell at Alexandra Palace in London. He also performed at the UK’s Latitude Festival and will take to the stage next week in America as a supporting act for Imagine Dragons’s US concerts.
