Natasha Joubert is a few weeks away from handing over the Miss South Africa reins to a new beauty queen. On her final days at Miss South Africa, Joubert launched a new collection with Forever New.

As a fashion designer, working with the brand to launch a spring collection has been a breeze for Joubert, who travelled to Melbourne, Australia, to try out the range before it hit South African shores.

“This collaboration is a very exciting one. It’s such an honour, such a privilege. I had the opportunity to actually sit down with Forever New and choose a capsule wardrobe,” said Joubert.

Some statement pieces from the capsule collection include casual jumpsuits, wide-leg pants, long and midi dresses, strappy slip dresses and linen tops with a colourful spring palette.

All of them have been worn by Miss SA 2024 contestants on episode four of “Crown Chasers”, titled “Fashion Forward”, where the ladies had to prove their ability to style a versatile wardrobe for a day in the life of a Miss South Africa.

The global fashion brand’s team said that through the collection, they wanted women to embrace their feminine energy.

“The essence of Forever New is feminine beauty, making every moment a beautiful moment for our customers. What they look like and how they feel is a projection of themselves, and I think clothing is about how you feel.

“Beauty comes from being confined, and beauty comes from within. If you don’t feel it, you’re certainly not going to look it, and what’s important is when you put something on, you gotta feel incredible.”

This year, Joubert has not yet launched a collection under her brand Natalia Jefferys. However, she has produced several custom garments, including a green dress that Leandie du Randt wore as a guest judge on “Crown Chasers”.
