Controversial Pastor Paseka ”Mboro” Motsoeneng said just like Jesus, he is being punished for other people’s sins.
This was after he was spotted carrying across outside the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court in Ekurhuleni on Wednesday.
Mboro, together with Incredible Happenings Church members, went to the court ahead of the appearance of nine suspects, including the grandmother of his two grandchildren, whom the State accuses of abducting him, his son, and his bodyguard.
Mboro, in his last court appearance, told journalists that his grandchildren had recovered from the trauma.
This was after Mboro was seen carrying two pangas that he wielded in the air while telling people not to dare get close to him. Baloyi was carrying a rifle, which the court has now confirmed is a replica. Revival allegedly dragged both his children out of a Katlehong school in August.
“We were far away from God, he brought us closer through the blood of Jesus through the cross. All the problems, all the pain, all injustices, all the diseases, and portrayal were all on him on the cross. Even me and the war… me alone versus 10, 100, million, I’m going to conquer through Jesus.
“Now those people who damaged my cars, assaulting my son. There was no justice for more than 100 days but God showed up today. This is just the beginning, I am going to emerge victorious through the cross,” said Mboro.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane confirmed that the nine suspects are charged with common assault.
“The nine suspects were joined to the current case involving Mboro, his son, Revival, and his bodyguard Vincent Baloyi,” she said.
Their matter was postponed to Monday, November 25.
On November 11, the court, through Magistrate Ipfi Maburuburu, transferred the trio’s case to the Palm Ridge Regional Court for a trial date.
This development follows the State’s announcement that it is ready for trial after concluding its investigations.
Mboro is currently out on bail and his co-accused were released on warning. They face serious charges, including kidnapping, possession of dangerous weapons, and assault, although some charges were dropped when the case was moved to Schedule 1.
