IT WAS STASHED in Johnson’s Baby Powder bottles, hidden in a Kellogg’s Corn Flakes box at the bottom of her luggage.

But it was not enough to hide the drugs.

When a 32-year-old Soweto woman stepped off the early morning flight in Cape Town yesterday, she was stopped by police, who searched her and found 3kg of cocaine in her luggage. It is estimated to have a street value of more than R800 000.

The woman, who cannot be named until she appears in court, had travelled from Lanseria Airport in Joburg.

Western Cape Police spokes- man Captain Frederick van Wyk said the woman behaved suspiciously and was very nervous.

He said police monitored the woman as she was collecting her suitcases at the baggage carousel.

The woman will appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court today. – Staff Reporter
