It’s the holiday season and while you are busy with the preparations, don’t forget to pack all the skincare essentials you will need to stay glowing throughout your vacation.

When you’re on holiday, you want to spend less time getting ready and more time doing fun activities.

To make sure you don’t miss out on all the fun,  Clere skincare brand manager Su-Marie Annandale explains how you can keep your skincare routine on track while on the move.

Keep it simple and stick to the essentials

When packing, less is more. Focus on a few key products that address your skin's basic needs – cleansing, moisturising and sun protection.

Tip: Opt for travel-sized versions of your favourite products or transfer them into reusable mini containers. Look for multi-purpose products to save space.

Moisturise

Travelling by air tends to dehydrate the skin. Make sure you have a lotion or body cream in your carry luggage to keep your skin hydrated.

A lightweight lotion is great for humid destinations, while a richer crème works wonders in colder or dry climates. Apply a generous amount before and during travel to lock in moisture.

Don’t skip the SPF

It doesn’t matter where you’re going, sun protection is crucial. UV exposure can happen even when flying or sitting near a window.

Tip: Choose a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher.

Hydrate from the inside out

Putting on products to hydrate your skin is not enough. You need to do it inside out. While many people tend to overlook their diet when on holiday, it’s important to drink sufficient water and still eat those greens.

Prioritise a post-travel reset routine

Once you return from your trip, treat your skin to a post-travel reset routine to restore balance.

Tip: Consider exfoliating gently to remove dead skin cells and applying a nourishing crème to replenish lost moisture.
