Tomorrow the iconic Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden will come alive once again, filled with anticipation and excitement. Singer-songwriter, Matthew Mole, will return to the stage for a highly anticipated performance as part of the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts.

This isn’t just any concert—it marks his 10th appearance at this legendary venue, a milestone that speaks volumes about his enduring connection with the place and his fans.

With a career that has seen him top charts and mesmerise audiences across the globe, Mole has established himself as a powerhouse in the South African music scene.

His signature blend of folk, electronic, and pop influences has made hits like “Take Yours, I’ll Take Mine”, with over 30 million views on YouTube, and “Run” anthems for fans of all ages.

Reflecting on the upcoming concert, Mole shared his excitement: “Kirstenbosch is always the highlight of my year, and this year is my 10th Kirstenbosch. I usually do them by myself, but this year my friend, Amistat, is coming all the way from Europe.

“I also have a few other surprise guests joining, and I'll be trying out a few brand-new songs amongst the familiar ones. It’s going to be an amazing afternoon!”

Sarah Struys, Events and Tourism Manager at Kirstenbosch spoke on the significance of welcoming Mole back to the stage. “Matthew’s performances at Kirstenbosch are nothing short of spectacular.

“His music resonates deeply with our audiences, weaving together joy, nostalgia, and an undeniable sense of connection. His return, especially with surprise collaborations, promises an atmosphere filled with warmth and musical brilliance. This is a performance that should not be missed.”
