The mother of missing German tourist, Nick Frischke is clinging on to hope that someone will come forward to say what happened to him as it reached the two-year anniversary of his disappearance.

Frischke’s mother, Jana, penned a heartwarming and emotional message via the Facebook page dedicated to finding her son, titled: “Missing -Nick Frischke,” which has over 1.3k followers.

“My dear Nick, exactly 2 years ago today, our lives changed extremely. I have shed a lot of tears over the 104 weeks and this life without you is very difficult,” said Jana.

“I miss our good conversations, your knowledge and opinions and much more.

“We don't give up hope and pray that we can see you again.

“With the help of many lovely people from all over the world, we continue to search!

“We would like to finally find you and we continue to hope that someone can give us clues.

“I miss you very much!!! Hdgdl”

Frischke’s case has been supported by various organizations locally including that of Track ‘n’ Trace Missing persons unit.

Chaz Thomas of TNT said: “We were not formally on the case from the start but we were contacted by the family to help them.

“We were at the court case last month and we as TNT will do our utmost best to help get the family closure, it has been two years with no progress.”

Frischke vanished without a trace on a walking trail near Hout Bay on February 15 2023.

Last month, four suspects linked to Frischke’s disappearance and robbery made another appearance at the Wynberg Regional Court.

The group, alleged members of the 28s gang, Ishaam Fischer, Melvin Geunantin, Vanroy Petersen and Carlo Geunantin are expected back in the dock in April.

They are facing charges relating to the robbery of Frischke and several other robberies, which allegedly took place in Hout Bay.

During court proceedings last month, lead investigator, Dudley Truter, read from an affidavit taken by Melvin Geunantin in which he fingered Fischer stabbing Frischke after robbing him of the cellphone, and that the tourist could not walk properly after he was wounded.

The State is set to prove the alleged gang members robbed Frischke of his personal belongings including his Redmi Note 8 Pro cellphone and backpack.

The cellphone had been found in Geunantin’s possession following his arrest, who claimed that he had bought it for his daughter.

The affidavit further revealed Geunantin felt compelled to speak with police after what he had seen.
