Cape Town - Small businesses are gearing up for the My Cape Town Market taking place this weekend as traders have an opportunity to connect directly with consumers in a space that is popular with locals and visitors alike.
Fashion-lovers, foodies and others are encouraged to head over to the Company’s Gardens this weekend, as the market will feature a variety of small business owners selling their products as well as live entertainment, carnival rides and a giant football play area and more.
My Cape Town Market is proudly facilitated by the Department of Enterprise and Investment with the aim of giving small businesses in Cape Town a big boost.
“Not only will shoppers find all sorts of unique goodies, by supporting our small businesses, more of our rands go into the local economy. It’s a win-win,” said Economic Growth mayco member, James Vos.
The My Cape Town Market gives traders an opportunity to connect directly with consumers.
“We want to bring that sense of community that’s so wonderful at markets in Cape Town. There will be fun for everyone, for the young and the young at heart. Enjoy live entertainment in the beautiful setting of the Gardens, with artists like Jarrad Ricketts, Mel Jones, Don Vino and Fancy Galada. Don’t miss it!,” said Vos.
The event will take place at the Company’s Gardens on Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28 from 3pm – 9pm.
It will also run on Sunday, May 29 from 1pm – 7pm.
