Ndlovu Youth Choir breaks new barriers

Ndlovu Youth Choir is embarking on its first-ever headline tour, at Montecasino and the Artscape Theatre.

Cape Town - The Ndlovu Youth Choir is preparing for its first-ever headline concert at Montecasino and the Artscape Theatre.

Since 2009, the Choir has become one of South Africa’s most treasured choral groups also recognised globally for their unique musical arrangements, vocal talents and infectious energy.

Their SA headline tour is expected to be a series starting at Montecasino’s Teatro on Friday, September 30 at 8pm; Saturday, October 1 at 3pm and 8pm; and Sunday, October 2 at 2pm and 6pm.

Cape Town concerts at the Artscape Theatre Complex take place on Friday October 7 at 7:30pm; Saturday, October 8 at 3pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday, October 10 at 2pm and 6pm.

“To be back performing for a live audience, especially on home soil is a dream for the 20 choristers who are ready to light up the stage with their vibrant song and dance. Ndlovu Youth Choir in Concert features many of the Choir’s famous hits such as Africa, Shallow/Enxwemeni, Shape of You, Higher Love, Hold On, Ungandibulali and We Will Rise.

“The repertoire also features their newest songs Man in the Mirror and Grateful, and some original compositions including WeBaba Omncane and Afrika Hey from their first studio album entitled ‘Grateful’ which was released in April 2022 across all streaming platforms,” organisers said.
