Brandy and Monica officially kicked off their highly anticipated “The Boy Is Mine” tour on October 16, with Kelly Rowland and Muni Long joining them, and fans are already raving about the performances.
The tour was first revealed in June after a Ticketmaster error leaked the dates early. The premature reveal showed the duo touring from November 13, 2025, with Rowland and Long as special guests.
Screenshots of the leak circulated on X, creating a buzz that only grew when the official announcement followed.
The tour kicked off in Cincinnati, where Brandy and Monica made a bold fashion statement throughout their performances.
Brandy wore a long black-and-white checkered coat over a classic white shirt and black tie, paired with loose black pants. She accessorised with black gloves and sleek cat-eye sunglasses, giving her outfit a modern, edgy finish.
Monica opted for a cropped black jacket with sharp shoulders layered over a white corset-like piece, paired with wide-legged black trousers.
She added drama with a black tie and a striking asymmetrical hat that angled across her face, completing the look with black gloves.
The duo opened the show with their iconic duet, “The Boy Is Mine,” before performing Brandy’s classic “Have You Ever”.
They also paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a rendition of “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”. Brandy stole the show with a selection from her timeless catalogue, including “Best Friend” and “Angel In Disguise”.
Fans flooded social media with excitement after opening night, praising both the performances and the production.
“Brandy & Monica 'The Boy Is Mine Tour', phenomenal. Exceptional. 1000/10. I wanna go see it again,” said a fan @BabyDollEyes32.
While @TiffnyMonique commented: “'The Boy is Mine' Tour was really good. Go see it if you get a chance.”
Rowland followed with a commanding performance, entering in an all-black ensemble complete with a dramatic hat and fur coat. Her set featured a medley of Destiny’s Child hits, including “Cater 2 U” and “Girl”, giving fans nostalgia.
Long also impressed fans with her special guest set, rounding out the opening night line-up with “Made For Me”.
The tour will continue across multiple cities, closing on December 14, in Jacksonville, Florida.
