Podcaster Nandi Madida is feeling the love as her podcast, “The Motherhood Network”, made Apple Podcasts' "Best of 2025" list, just six months after its launch.
The platform, which shares candid and unfiltered stories about motherhood, has already featured inspiring conversations with women like Minnie Dlamini, Sho Madjozi and Ntokozo Mbambo.
Through these conversations, Madida has created a space that celebrates the joys, struggles and realities of raising children in today’s world.
The mother of two took to social media and opened up about what this recognition means to her. “What a year. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you to my amazing team, and especially my babies, my kids Shaka and Nefertiti, the heart behind this platform.
“I am so emotional. I really have the BEST kids. Thank you, GOD, for speaking to me and giving me a voice when I felt overwhelmed by my gifted kids’ diagnoses and giving me the strength to advocate for them openly, so other mothers could feel seen.
"This platform came because of them! I love my Shakalaks and Nefertiti so much. May we continue to give you more healing, inspiring and relatable stories!” she wrote.
Since its debut on May 11, “The Motherhood Network” has grown into more than just a podcast. It has also become a community for mothers, offering support, wisdom, as well as honest conversations about everything from mental health and parenting challenges to career balancing and neurodivergence.
The podcast is deeply personal for Madida since her children, Shaka and Nefertiti, are the inspiration for the platform, and she hopes that sharing her journey and speaking openly about motherhood can help other mothers feel seen and understood.
Fans and industry peers also congratulated her, saying her recognition is well deserved. Her first guest, Basetsana Kumalo, also left a heart in the comment section to which Madida replied: “Thank you for being our first guest! You are our Queen! Our blueprint, thank you for your heart. ♥️”
