Rachel John is apparently shaking up the Springboks WAG ecosystem, with Mzansi’s former first lady of rugby, Rachel Kolisi, also in the heat of the matter.
This comes after Siya's soon-to-be ex-wife dropped a cryptic bomb on Instagram - and fans are convinced it’s aimed squarely at John.
In an eyebrow-raising Instagram Story, she posted: “Those fake checkups don’t work on me. I’m good. Mind your business … Kind regards.” If the subtext wasn’t loud enough, the timing had social media detectives sprinting.
Why? Because just as she hit “unfollow” on Saskia Snyman - once one of her closest WAG allies - John has slid into the spotlight, forming new friendships and stepping confidently into the Springbok wives’ inner circle.

And, according to fans, she’s not just stepping in… she’s stirring things up.
Enter: Rachel John, aka the “new Rachel”
John, affectionately dubbed by netizens as “the other Rachel”, has become the name on everyone’s lips - and not just because she’s been seen partying with key WAGs Layla Kolbe and Domenica de Allende.
The trio was snapped enjoying Dublin ahead of the Springboks’ test against Ireland, igniting talk that the WAG group dynamics have taken a sharp turn - with John firmly in the middle of it.
But what really escalated the drama was John’s growing proximity to Siya.
She’s been spotted supporting him at several events this year, including that now-viral moment at an Italian tennis final where the two were photographed courtside.
The sighting sent social media into meltdown, with fans wondering whether the “new Rachel” was stepping into spaces the original Rachel once occupied.
A shifting sisterhood?
The unfollowing saga didn’t go unnoticed. For years, Siya's ex and Saskia Snyman exchanged likes, comments and public support. Now? Radio silence.
Fans believe the growing bond between Saskia and the "other Rachel" may have triggered the split, with her unofficially becoming the newest nucleus of the WAG circle.
Rachel Kolisi keeps it classy - but the message lands
While the online chatter intensifies, the "old Rachel" has chosen a different kind of clapback: self-love and grace.
In a recent video montage, she shared moments of rebuilding with the caption: “Fall in love with showing up for yourself again and again.”
Her supporters rallied instantly.
“A true Queen builds her Kingdom with the same bricks they have thrown at her,” wrote @carolannephilander. “Again and again, Ms Rachel - we stand behind you every time,” added @krisss_langeveld.
But even with her rising above it all, there's no denying it - John has become the epicentre of a Springbok WAG shake-up that fans can’t stop dissecting.
And as the two Rachels occupy headlines for very different reasons, South Africans are watching, refreshing and waiting for the next twist in the saga.
