The leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema, sparked widespread speculation and confusion on X with a tweet directed at Daliwonga.

Malema's tweet read, "Daliwonga don’t try me bastard!" This post caused an immediate stir on social media, with users asking how Daliwonga might have offended their favourite politician.

Social media users on X were trying to figure out which "Daliwonga" Julius Malema was referring to in his frustrated tweet, and for what exact reason. Some speculate that it might actually be Dali Mpofu, as a clash between two politicians seems more understandable than one involving the Amapiano star, Daliwonga.

This introduces confusion, however, since Dali Mpofu and Daliwonga do not share the same name. Therefore, the question remains: how could the Amapiano star, Daliwonga, have possibly offended Malema?

Gossip quickly spread that the controversy might stem from Daliwonga allegedly failing to appear for a scheduled gig.

While there has been no response from either party, people began speculating that Malema’s anger came after Daliwonga was paid upfront to perform at a club owned by Tshepo, who is Malema’s brother, in Seshego, Polokwane, on January 17. He allegedly never showed up to perform, and Malema took his anger to X.

Another thing that stood out to people was the leader's use of a comma to begin a sentence, prompting widespread discussion and questions about the unconventional punctuation.

As of now, neither Julius Malema nor Daliwonga has explained what upset the EFF leader. Despite public speculation, the precise reason for Malema's anger remains undisclosed.

The public reaction to the dispute between the politician and the Amapiano star was mixed, with comments on X ranging from amusement to disapproval.

One negative response came from Wisani Teyis, who commented, "President of insults.......... you are a very bad example to the youth and society at large".

Another user, @Rogerthat_1652, advised the politician, "You need to control your emotions. A real businessman doesn’t get emotional. Just ask for a refund or a statement why he didn’t make it".

Cole Mokhele, supporting the claim that Galiwonga missed the scheduled performance, noted a broader issue with the genre's artists: "Amapiano artists are the worst musicians of this generation, respect wise. They swallow bookings money and dont dont show. It has become a habit now.
