Penny Lebyane to host new SABC show 'Entlek Let’s Connect' alongside Fran-Rico

Celebrated media personality Penny Lebyane makes a triumphant return to SABC2 after years away, joining co-host Fran-Rico on the new daily talk show 'Eintlek Let's Connect'.

Penny Lebyane has been announced as a co-host for SABC 2's new show, "EIntlek Let's Connect", which is set to premiere on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Penny Lebyane will host alongside Fran-Rico Lucas. Both are known individually for their experience in making shows lively and engaging.

"Eintlek Let's Connect" is designed to focus on trending topics and what South Africans are talking about, promising to bring people and communities closer through authentic voices and real discussions. The show will celebrate local cultures, shine a spotlight on specific people, and explore today's hot topics by having the hosts on the road across the country, diving into the everyday South African experience.

Penny Lebyane, a seasoned presenter, has a long history in the media industry, having started at the age of 17. Her extensive career includes presenting roles at Former Metro, Thobela, Radio 2000, and Massive Metro.

Lebyane is also familiar to SABC 2 viewers, where she previously hosted and produced five seasons of the women's empowerment talk show "Motswako." Her television appearances also include "City Ses'la" and "I Love South Africa" (Season 2).

She is now making a return to SABC 2 with the daily platform "Eintlek Let's Connect". Lebyane expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “To be back on SABC2 with a daily platform like Eintlek Let's Connect is everything I've worked toward in the last 25 years in the Media Industry”.

Reflecting on her journey, she added, “After the last few years I’ve had, this isn’t just a job; it’s a fresh start and a chance to build something meaningful with South Africa every single day. It's a homecoming”.

Fran-Rico is an upcoming TV and radio presenter. His career started in radio at the University of the Free State Campus Radio before he moved on to present for "Smile 90.4 fm". On television, he has presented for SABC2's "50|50" and currently hosts "Eintlek Let’s Connect" alongside the legendary Penny Lebyane.

“Coming back to television feels like a full circle moment. From 50/50 to now being part of Eintlek Let's Connect, alongside Penny Lebyane, it feels like returning home.” Said Fran-Rico.

“Television has always been a dream, one I have carried since childhood, and seeing that dream unfold on SABC2 is incredibly special,” he added

The show is set to air every weekday, Monday through Friday, from 16:30 to 17:30. Viewers will also be able to stream it on SABC Plus. Given the high-profile presenters involved, the program is anticipated to generate considerable excitement and high expectations among the audience.
