Beverly Steyn and Nonku Williams’ friendship has come under public scrutiny following a dispute over an unpaid loan.

The feud between Beverly Steyn and Nonku Williams has been making headlines recently.
It all began when Steyn claimed that Williams owes her a substantial amount of money, and she shared exactly what happened after lending cash to her fellow reality star.
"The Real Housewives of Durban" star responded publicly, admitting that she mishandled the situation and taking responsibility for the debt. In a series of posts, Williams wrote: “I owe Beverly Steyn a sincere apology. A sincere apology.”
Apologies are one thing, but as we know, they don’t replace accountability or action.
Steyn, the "Real Housewives of Cape Town" star, responded to Williams’ public apology, saying that while she appreciates the gesture, her legal team will still be taking steps to recover the money.
Some may judge Steyn for going public, but she explained that it was the final straw.
According to her, Williams acknowledged the debt but “refused to give me a payback date.”

Steyn also shared that Williams promised to sell her most valuable possessions to repay the money. But before the six-month timeline she had given even ended, Steyn discovered she wasn’t the only person in this situation.
Allegedly, Williams had borrowed from others and then disappeared.
“You ghosted me, and I was in tears when I found out you borrowed money from others and then just ghosted them,” Steyn wrote.
“I went to socials as a last resort. My reason for publishing was to break the pattern that has repeated itself over and over again.”
Steyn concluded her posts with a note of grace, thanking supporters while also addressing critics.
“Thank you to those who support me and those who support Nonku. I hold no grudges against those who post nasty comments, as you have no understanding of the truly sad breakdown of this friendship,” she wrote.
Steyn and Williams' friendship once looked unbreakable. It began in 2024 when they appeared together on "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip - South Africa."
They bonded over faith, support and shared experiences on and off camera.
Over the next year, they were often seen celebrating birthdays, attending events together, and sharing glimpses of their sisterly connection online.
But cracks started to show when money entered the picture.
Lending a substantial sum tested the trust they had built, and when repayment didn’t happen, and promises were broken, the friendship began to unravel. What was once a joyful bond turned into a very public clash.
