The “A-Pop” rollout is officially underway, and Tyla is stepping into a big week, confirming the release date of her upcoming single while also celebrating four nominations at the American Music Awards.

The 24-year-old singer has officially revealed that her highly anticipated song, “She Did It Again”, will drop this Friday.

The Instagram announcement came through a joint post with Swedish pop singer Zara Larsson, confirming long-running speculation that the two have teamed up on the song.

By the looks of things, it seems like Tygers are in for a treat. The teased picture is giving great visuals and an even greater choreography from the pair, think Beyoncé and Shakira in “Beautiful Liar”.

The rollout has been building for a while now. Tyla first teased the song on social media, sharing pictures in the studio and behind-the-scenes video clips from what looked like a music video shoot.

She kept the feature under wraps at the time, captioning the post “SHE DID IT AGAIN feat……? Wrong guesses only,” which sent fans into theory mode.

Larsson’s name kept coming up, especially after the two were spotted spending time together at award shows and interacting online.

Their joint post now clears that up, while also setting the tone for what looks like a more playful, confident era for Tyla.

The single also forms part of a wider rollout for her upcoming second album, “A-Pop”, which she first confirmed during Grammy Awards week. The project is expected to reflect a more intentional and experimental direction compared to her debut.

At the same time, Tyla is coming off a major milestone with four nominations at this year’s American Music Awards, making her the most nominated African artist in the show’s history.

She is nominated for Best Female R&B Artist alongside Kehlani, Summer Walker, SZA and Teyana Taylor.

In the Best Afrobeats Artist category, she is up against Burna Boy, MOLIY, Rema and Wizkid.

Her hit song “Chanel” has also earned two more nods, landing in both Social Song of the Year and Best Music Video.

In the Social Song category, she competes with acts including Disco Lines and Tinashe, PinkPantheress, Role Model and Zara Larsson.

Released in October 2025, “Chanel” has grown into one of her biggest songs to date. It has been topping music charts and pulling in over 321 million streams on Spotify while continuing to gain traction globally.

The 52nd edition of the American Music Awards is set to take place in Las Vegas on May 25, with Queen Latifah announced as the host.

With a new single on the way and multiple nominations behind her, Tyla’s next move when it comes to the “A-Pop” rollout is already in motion.
