How South African celebrities plan to make 2025 their best year yet
The “Happy New Year” shoutouts are probably over but people are still working on resolutions.
The beginning of the year is the perfect time to set the tone for the year ahead and plan on how to achieve your goals.
While others want to surprise fans, some of our local celebrities are excited to share their plans for the year.
Content creator Chad Jones
Besides travelling and building his social media presence, Jones wants to focus on travelling and launching a family business to give back to the community.
"The merch is more than just a brand – it’s a way to give back," he says, noting that a portion of the proceeds will support charity.
"We’re excited to keep bringing smiles and joy to the world, and I know this year holds big things for my family and me.”
Radio personality Rozanne McKenzie
Not everyone believes in New Year’s resolution and McKenzie and is one of the them.
She wants to commit to small, sustainable changes that will benefit her life in the long run.
"I try to make small changes in my life that slowly become habits. Whether I do that in January or September, it doesn’t matter to me,” she says. “We put too much on the ‘new year, new me’ idea, and that can sometimes set us up for failure.”
Musician Ben Rodrigues
The singer wants to grow his career by gaining more listeners to stream his music and follow him on social media.
“I want to hit 100 million streams on a song, secure an opening slot for an international artist I love, and grow my Instagram following to 500K, among other goals,” he says.
Author Carol Ofori
Born on January 14, Ofori usually focuses on her birthday during this time of the year.
"I always have a conversation with myself on my birthday," she admits. "It’s a check-in on my dreams, aspirations, and what I want to achieve for the year ahead.“
Media personality Kim Jayde
The fashionista wants to explore the world as she continues to grow her brand.
“I’m excited to continue showcasing the incredible talent our continent has to offer," she adds. "It’s going to be a magical year – I can just feel it."
