Gospel artist and pastor Collen Maluleke will celebrate ten years in music with a major live recording event, “A Decade of Open Heavens”, inviting fans to commemorate this milestone alongside him.

The event will take place on Friday, November 28, at the House of Treasures Ministries in Johannesburg South.

It marks ten years since his breakthrough live album “Open Heavens” introduced him to audiences across South Africa.

Reflecting on the journey, Collen described the milestone not just as a musical achievement, but as a defining chapter in his calling.

“Ten years of ‘Open Heavens' is not just music, but a decade of moments that shaped a calling, touched lives and changed the man behind the mic,” he said.

“I invite you to join me to record this milestone live - a night to honour God’s faithfulness and the journey so far.”

On social media, he shared his excitement about what the night represents. “‘A Decade of Open Heavens’ just reached a whole new level of worship. Each week the atmosphere keeps rising. We’re expectant and ready for what God will do on the 28th of November - it’s more than an event, it’s a divine encounter.”

He encouraged supporters to approach the moment with faith, adding, “Walk with Him, praise Him and partner with His purpose - for He is holy, faithful and worthy of all glory.”

Since emerging in 2010, Maluleke has become a respected voice in gospel music, known for blending worship with messages of hope.

He has collaborated with artists such as Khaya Mthethwa, Mmatema and Takie Ndou, building a catalogue that resonates across generations. His music, rooted in ministry, has earned multiple nominations and sustained chart success.

His 2023 album “Word + Prayer + Worship" received recognition at the Crown Gospel Music Awards, with songs like “Song of Breakthrough” and “Song of the Angels” becoming worship anthems in churches and prayer gatherings.

These tracks solidified his role as not just a performer but a vessel of devotion.

Beyond the stage, Maluleke is a pastor, husband and father. His approach to music is deeply tied to his commitment to faith and community.

Supporters often speak of the atmosphere at his live recordings - intimate, prayerful and filled with collective worship.

“A Decade of Open Heavens” is set to revisit early classics while introducing new compositions.

For Maluleke, returning to the live stage is a symbolic gesture. It is a full-circle moment, echoing the spirit of his 2015 live recording that marked the beginning of his national journey.

“This night is about gratitude,” he shared. “We look back at what God has done, and we look ahead with expectation. Heaven is open.”
