Organisers, the Allure Group, say the festival will feature multiple sensory zones, each designed to immerse visitors in a world of flavour, music, craft and live entertainment, with chef demonstrations, interactive experiences and curated food offerings expected to form the heart of the programme.

Taste of Cape Town 2026 is set to make its debut this November, promising what organisers describe as Africa’s most ambitious food and lifestyle festival.
The two-day event, produced by The Allure Group, will take place at Green Point Cricket Club on November 28 and 29, bringing together celebrated chefs, live music, artisan experiences and culinary showcases in what organisers say will be an immersive celebration of food, culture and creativity.
Set against the backdrop of Cape Town’s Atlantic seaboard, the festival aims to position the Mother City as a global culinary destination while showcasing South African talent on an international stage.
According to Bonnke Shipalana, chief executive of The Allure Group, the event is designed to go beyond the traditional food festival format.
“Cape Town is one of the world’s great food cities. We are not building a food fair, we are building the definitive food and lifestyle experience on this continent,” Shipalana said.
“We want Taste of Cape Town to set a new benchmark for what a festival in Africa can be, and in November 2026, we intend to deliver an experience this city will not forget.”
Organisers say the festival will feature multiple sensory zones, each designed to immerse visitors in a world of flavour, music, craft and live entertainment, with chef demonstrations, interactive experiences and curated food offerings expected to form the heart of the programme.
The chef line-up and entertainment programme will be announced in phases from July.
The event will be powered by Independent Media, South Africa's leading multi-platform content company, in conjunction with Condé Nast, the publishers of Glamour, GQ, and House & Garden, reaching millions of readers across print, digital, and broadcast channels. Together, they bring unmatched editorial authority, audience reach, and content firepower to amplify the festival's voice from Cape Town to the world.
In a statement, Independent Media said it was proud to support an event that celebrates African excellence and places South African culinary and creative talent on a global platform.
Cape Town has long been recognised as one of the world’s leading food destinations. This November, organisers believe Taste of Cape Town may offer residents and visitors alike a fresh reason to fall in love with the city all over again.
