Kris Jenner and Ozempic have been linked in the rumour mill for months, but the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner empire finally cleared the air during an appearance on the SHE MD podcast.
Speaking with hosts Mary Alice Haney and her own physician, Dr Thaïs Aliabadi, Jenner confirmed that she did indeed give the popular GLP-1 medication a try, but it wasn’t exactly the “miracle cure” many have made it out to be.
While Ozempic has become a Hollywood staple, Jenner revealed that she actually jumped on the trend quite early.
“I tried it,” she admitted. “We tried it once when no one knew what it was, and it made me really sick.”
The side effects were apparently so intense that the world’s busiest “momager” found herself unable to maintain her gruelling schedule.
She recalled calling Dr Aliabadi in a state of distress, saying, “I can’t work anymore. I can’t, I’m so sick. I can’t, like, nauseous.”
Recognising that her body wasn't responding well, she quickly decided to pull the plug on the treatment.
After ditching Ozempic, Jenner and her medical team pivoted to a more personalised approach that she describes as a total transformation.
Instead of the traditional GLP-1 shots, she has switched to peptide injections combined with a targeted supplement regimen.
The results, according to Jenner, have been far superior for her lifestyle.
“That was a game changer,” she shared. “That actually bought me an extra couple of hours at night. Because I get up so early, I tend to want to go and collapse as soon as I have my last email or my last call... and I'm done.”
Beyond the energy boost, she noted that the new routine has physical perks too: “I felt like I had more energy. And of course, it’s good for hair, and nails, and skin and all of that stuff.”
Jenner also emphasised the importance of regular blood work to keep her hormones balanced, a practice she’s maintained since turning 45.
The conversation also touched on her major health milestone from 2024: her hysterectomy.
While she initially disclosed the procedure during Season 5 of “The Kardashians”, she shared some surprisingly graphic new details on the podcast.
Following a scare where doctors found a cyst and a benign tumour on her ovary, Jenner opted for the full surgery to avoid any future complications. Interestingly, she revealed that she actually has a 22-minute “skin-to-skin” video of the operation that she can watch back.
Reflecting on the emotional weight of removing the uterus that carried her six children, Jenner stated, “This is my life’s work. It’s my destiny. It’s my legacy... I consider them my biggest joy, but they’re also my biggest responsibility.”
Today, the 70-year-old says she “feels great” and is clearly focused on a health strategy that prioritises longevity and stamina over quick-fix trends.
