Mihlali Ndamase showcases front-row fashion in Istanbul alongside a highly anticipated collaboration

Mihlali Ndamase has been painting Istanbul red.

The award-winning content creator and co-founder of Treasury Designs recently jetted off to Turkey for the prestigious Istanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO) 2026. 

Ndamase's recent trip saw her scouting the latest trends for Treasury Designs and meeting with top Turkish textile giants.

The IFCO is one of the largest fashion gatherings in Europe and Eurasia, acting as a bridge between Eastern production excellence and Western design.

Ndamase was spotted at several of the fashion shows held during the event, particularly in the "Fashionist" section, which focuses on occasion-wear and evening gowns, styles she is famously known for. 

She also documented her journey through the Istanbul Expo Center, providing fans with a behind-the-scenes look at global fashion trends for the Spring/Summer 2027/28 season.

But it wasn't all just runways and front-row seats. Ndamase was seen putting in work behind the scenes.

It was reported that she held private meetings with major Turkish textile manufacturers, and word on the social media streets is that we might see a Mihlali x Özlem Süer capsule collection soon, or at least some show-stopping red carpet designs for the 2026 awards season.

She also explored eco-friendly fashion zones and joined talks on how digital transformation is changing the game for African influencers.

Between business meetings, she kept fans updated through her "Adventure Is Out There" vlog series.

From breathtaking boat rides on the Bosphorus to mouth-watering culinary tours, she showed us that Istanbul is just as much about the culture as it is about the clothes.
