EUGENE Terre’Blanche’s head was bashed so bad that his skull was fractured, forcing part of the bone to be driven into the brain and rendering him unconscious, a forensic pathologist told the Ventersdorp Circuit Court on Thursday morning.
The fracture to the head was so bad that Terre’Blanche fell unconscious, rendering him incapacitated, said Ruweida Moorad. This was consistent with the absence of blood in Terre’Blanche’s lungs as if he had continued to breathe, he would have breathed in blood which would have gone straight to his lungs, she said.
“It is my opinion that the injury to the head would have been the first blow, followed by the facial injuries, the neck then the lower body,” Moorad said.
