Mzansi Magic has a varied line-up of shows to keep viewers glued to their screens and entertained in the coming months.
The latest addition to premiere on April 1 is Twice As Bold, a 13-part reality show following the lives of twin sisters Olwethu and Owami Siko, who do things quite differently compared to other twins.
The show follows them as they navigate the roller coaster of life as sisters who share a unique bond.
The twins have been inseparable since birth – they share most things, even the father of their children.
While most twins are known to have a closer bond than the average siblings, Olwethu and Owami have taken things to the extreme, at least according to their loved ones, who want them to start living their lives as individuals rather than as a unit.
The Vosloorus-born sisters are also on a quest to find a new husband after their marriage to the father of their children did not work out.
Olwethu and Owami were married to the same man for 9 years.
The director of local entertainment channels at M-Net, Shirley Adonisi, said she expected viewers to be hooked on this show in which the sisters candidly share their lives.
“The show is centred around family trials and tribulations which never get old and are always fascinating to observe – more so when the blood ties are as unique and as deep as the ones in ‘Twice as Bold’. We’re sure our audience will love this duo as we see them navigate motherhood, careers, spirituality and, of course, love,” she said.
The 31-year-old sisters were raised by their grandmother will give viewers a glimpse into the tricky relationship with their birth mother and spiritual mother, while exploring the dating scene with the goal of finding a man who will marry them both.
