Johannesburg - Popular podcaster MacGyver Mukwevho, known as MacG, has doubled down on his claims that DJ Maphorisa is an “Amapiano gatekeeper” in the recent heated episode of his controversial podcast.

Mukwevho unapologetically threw fiery rants at the award-winning DJ, revealing that he was not scared of him.

Mukwevho falls into the list of popular personalities who have been on the radar in the entertainment industry for both being loved and criticised for his utterances in his podcast.

He is also known for not shying away from saying what he wants to say about whoever he wants to talk about, and in this case, Maphorisa was not safe either.

The podcast host was sitting with his co-host Sol Phenduka when he made these claims, pointing out that other people can also attest to the allegations lodged against DJ Maphorisa.

“Let me tell you a story about gatekeeping. There is someone who told me that Maphorisa is going to be mad that I am dropping an EP, and I did not ask for his approval.”

“Now, I must ask Maphorisa before I drop an EP. They said Maphorisa is going to be mad because I did not ask for his approval because he is a gatekeeper.”

“He is not my father, broe. F**k him. He can eat a dick. If he f***s around, I won't even drop an EP. I'll drop an album,” said MacG.

Listeners also shared their sentiments about the recent episode, with some criticising him while others agreed with his assertions.

Tee Touchza took his Twitter account and said:“Mac G enjoys badmouthing other people but hates it when he gets the same treatment from the same people that he badmouths. He claims Maphorisa is gatekeeping Amapiano but he can't even explain how. Podcast and chill is starting to be a show about rubbing macG’s ego.“

Samuel Malepe revealed that Malinga said everything and agreed on allegations that Maphorisa is the gatekeeper and we are not going to argue with you cause Malinga said everything we need to know,“ said Malepe.
