Lloyiso shows he is a romantic

Johannesburg - Dynamic singer Loyiso Gijana, known simply as Lloyiso, makes a thrilling return with a romantic single titled “What I Would Say”, which that has already amassed exceptional response from his fans.

The Uitenhage-born talent shares what inspired his new song and also touches base on his EP which is set to be released next year.

This past weekend, Danilo Acquisto, host of “The Hit 30” on Good Hope FM, spoke to Lloyiso about his new song

“My sister used to watch a lot of romcoms and I just referenced that moment when you see someone in a movie and you know how a movie ends, it always has a happy ever after. I wrote it from that perspective. ‘What I Would Say’ I was in a movie series so I wasnt scared of saying anything,” said Lloyiso

Taking over social media, Lloyiso amplified his voice globally by posting covers on Facebook before embracing YouTube.

He gained the endorsement of everyone from Kygo to Tyga and gradually amassed an enthusiastic audience.

The star has been making a mark with his craft in the past few years, from making covers to being signed by Republic Records which is a New York City-based American record label owned by Universal Music Group.

Lloyiso also had an interview with The Star when he was recently at Republic Records, where he was candid about his music journey.

Asked about the inspirations behind his music, he mentioned that there were “a ton of them”.

“My music is inspired by a lot of things. It also depends on how I am feeling. I write music about what I feel is needed by the world, and that is vulnerability and being able to take those emotions and use them,” he said.

The music star said before he wast signed by Republic Records he recalls having his emails being flooded by big names all wanting to work with him.

From singing in church, he saw the gift he possessed and went further in pursuit of using it.

Lloyiso said it was not difficult to find what he wanted to do, he knew that he wanted to be a musician.

Nailing viral renditions of Rihanna, Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi and more, he launched his TikTok in 2020, generating tens of millions of views and attracting the attention of labels worldwide.
