The trial of Limpopo farmer Zacharia Olivier has been adjourned to Tuesday following the unavailability of his legal counsel.

Olivier stands accused of the shocking shooting and killing of Maria Makgato and Kudzai Ndlovu, as well as wounding a third person, Mabutho Ncube.

During the last hearing, a notable turn of events occurred when former accused Rudolph de Wet, who has now become a State witness, took the stand to provide testimony.

Meanwhile, Olivier's co-accused, William Musora, faces separate charges that include defeating the ends of justice and contravening the Immigration Act.

Initially, all three men were accused of murdering two women and dumping their bodies in a pigsty on a farm in Onverwacht, outside Polokwane.

However, former accused number two, De Wet, had charges against him dropped after turning into a State witness.
