Amid nationwide jubilation following the release of the 2025 matric results, one young leader’s achievement stands out.

Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge head boy, 18-year-old Timothy Daubermann, has closed his high school chapter with an exceptional nine distinctions, a success shaped by perseverance, leadership, and the unwavering support of his teachers, family, and peers.

Reflecting on the academic year, Timothy expressed both joy and gratitude.

“My academic year overall was very enjoyable,” he said. “I was able to experience many new things, and I am incredibly grateful for all the hard work that my ‘village’, my teachers, family, and friends put in to help me get to this point.”

Like many of his peers, Timothy faced the intense pressure that comes with the matric year. “There were moments that challenged me, especially with the large number of exams we write in matric,” he admitted. “But it taught me that success is rarely individual and is often built quietly through the support of those around you.”

Beyond academics, Timothy embraced his role as head boy with enthusiasm. He said the position gave him the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others, whether through small daily interactions or moments of leadership.

His commitment to uplifting his peers reflects his character, and he values the friendships he has formed, bonds he believes will last well beyond his school years.

Looking ahead, Timothy plans to study medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). He is determined to carry forward the lessons and relationships gained throughout his schooling, confident they will guide him in the next chapter of his journey.
