African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Fikile Mbalula is currently briefing the media on the outcomes of the party’s recent National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
The briefing is taking place at the party’s headquarters, Chief Albert Luthuli House, in Johannesburg.
According to a statement released by the ANC, Mbalula will outline the outcomes of the NEC’s regular meeting.
These includes deliberations on a range of organisational, political, governance and socio-economic issues facing both the country and the movement.
“The briefing forms part of the ANC’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability and keeping the people of South Africa informed on the decisions and programme of action arising from the deliberations of its highest decision-making body between conferences,” the statement said.
The ANC convened its regular NEC meeting from May 23 to 26 2026 to discuss organisational matters.
