The Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA) is gearing up for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for Friday, 5 December 2025. This key gathering, taking place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Halfway House, Johannesburg, is poised to attract stakeholders from multiple sectors, including Advertising, Film and Electronic Media, Electronics, Information Technology, and Telecommunications.

The AGM starts at 17:00 and will run until 20:00, showcasing an array of important items on the agenda. Among the highlights will be the report of the Auditor General for the fiscal year 2024/2025, alongside an overview of the Chief Financial Officer regarding the Annual Financial Statements. Stakeholders will also have the opportunity to examine the organisation’s Annual Report on the Accounting Authority's affairs, the Annual Budget, and the Business Plan.

In addition to these crucial financial matters, the meeting will feature a report from the Audit and Risk Committee and the passing of various resolutions. Attendees will also be welcome to raise matters, either with or without prior notice, encouraging an open dialogue among stakeholders.

Due to limited seating, the event will accommodate a maximum of 250 delegates, stipulating that each organisation or company may send no more than two representatives to ensure broad participation. This restriction reflects the authority's commitment to creating an inclusive yet manageable environment for discussions.

For those unable to attend in person, MICT SETA will also be live-streaming the AGM on its social platforms beginning at 17:00, thereby extending accessibility to a wider audience who can engage remotely.

Organisations interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP by submitting an RSVP Form on the MICT SETA website by the deadline of 28 November 2025. For queries, stakeholders can reach out via email at [email protected].
